Because otherwise our code is not legally protected from the current
Apache license.

We are fully aware of this, the Apache Licensing Committee has been
working on an Apache License 2.0 which takes care of this and you can
simply place a placeholder instead of the full text (just like the GPL,
for example)
But legal stuff is *way* slower than code around the ASF :)
