Hi Carsten, I rebuilt Cocoon today (seem to do that several times each day lately :-)) after some updates were released on CVS and tested the Portal again. Is there any way I can get a version when I checkout a CVS version?
I am still having some problems with the portal though. I am getting ArrayIndexOutOfBounds errors, specially when I logout and login again. The last error I got was something completely different (to quote Mounty Pithon): a NullPointerException ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- type fatal message Failed to execute pipeline. description org.apache.cocoon.ProcessingException: Failed to execute pipeline.: java.lang.NullPointerException sender org.apache.cocoon.servlet.CocoonServlet source Cocoon servlet request-uri /cocoon/sunspotdemo-logout path-info sunspotdemo-logout ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- I did the following: - log in with cocoon - log out - log in with guest - go to customize - change the foreground an background color - save - logout (then I got the error) I'd like to give you more info. Could you (or anybody else) tell me how to get the stacktrace? I'm using Win2K, Tomcat 4.0.1 and JDK 1.3.1_02 with Cocoon 2.0.2-dev. Another question. Do you think the portal is up to VERY heavy loads? We have a potential lead with 28.000 resellers who wishes to have a portal so that his resellers can give their customers pretty personalized info. With some extra user login features the portal can be used for this (if it can take the load). I will need another user level that uses a configuration from another user, but can't change the profile or change the presentation (hide, minimize or close) of the sunlets. In other words: the public user would access the site as http://www.mydomain.com/public.html?user=username and get the presentation set up by user "username" without being able to change something to the page. The buttons on the sunlet title bars are hidden and there is no login or logout. What do you think?
