This site provides more information about error codes:
http://www.w3.org/Protocols/HTTP/HTRESP.html

It could have a lot of reasons. You should provide more information. For
example look in the logs of tomcat and the log of cocoon(in WEB-INF/logs)
for strange exceptions. Maybe there is a ClassNotFoundException because you
forgot to include a important jar in your CLASSPATH. But thats all
speculation, more information is needed.

Edgar

Onderwerp: Error when trying to access Cocoon

I finally managed to get cocoon compiled (apparently it didin't like the
version I had downloaded and it didn't like jdk1.4 on linux)

When I try to access cocoon I get the following error:

Apache Tomcat/4.0.1 - HTTP Status 503 - Servlet Cocoon2 is currently
unavailable
------------------------------------------------------------------------

type Status report

message Servlet Cocoon2 is currently unavailable

description The requested service (Servlet Cocoon2 is currently unavailable)
is not currently available.

Any idea of what am I doing wrong?
Carlos
