The interpreted engine *is* now in the main src trunk The cocoon.xconf in webapp contains some instructions to use it (one line to comment out, another one to uncomment). I moved the whole thing in an new components.processor package, but the early adopters can still use TreeProcessor in its original location in the scratchpad (it is deprecated and will be removed soon). Enjoy this new engine.
