Because IE does not run on Linux, maybe? ;). And many other platforms too. Also, I was under the impression that Xopus works in IE 5.5+ for Windows only, so this rules out the Mac too. > Surely we should be trying for a solution that works in IE as well. I agree with you on this. If Xopus currently runs on IE using MSXML, maybe we can make it run on Mozilla using Xerces and Xalan. This would still rule out Opera or Konqueror etc., but would cover almost ALL the desktop platforms, and 99% of users would be able to edit XML content without leaving their browser of choice. > Going one step further (and looking at the _predictions_ for browser market > share) wouldn't it be better to get involved with the Xopus work and perhaps > move it in a more standardized fashion? As soon as I can put my hands on a Windows box, I plan to give Xopus a try. Unfortunately (;-)) at the moment I work 100% of my time on Linux. Ugo P.S. there is a project for integrating Xerces/Xalan in Mozilla, you can find it at http://xanthes.mozdev.org/. It looks inactive, though. -- Ugo Cei - Consorzio di Bioingegneria e Informatica Medica P.le Volontari del Sangue, 2 - 27100 Pavia - Italy Phone: +39.0382.525100 - E-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED] --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED] For additional commands, email: [EMAIL PROTECTED]
