Agreed. But it's likely that Java's network support _is_ creating threads.

"Connection aborted by peer" means the server decided to stop talking to
you. Find out why. It may be malfunctioning, or it may be delivering
different data than you expect and have reached the end of its response, or
your network connection may be unreliable, or it may have timed out...
