And if you are using MacOSX, you can make this modification to
get menu bars at the top of the screen rather than the window:
Add the following line :
com.apple.macos.useScreenMenuBar=true
to the file:
[/Applications/Text/jEdit/]jEdit.app/Contents/Resources/MRJApp.properties
