Just to confirm that the jar referenced below does not break SourceWriterTransformer. I've checked with the sunspot stuff and that all works so I suspect the problem is in our code. The only thing left to check is the JDK1.3 compatibility.

I just needed to make sure Servlet.jar was on the classpath so the Ant class
dependency was configured correctly. The new jar is at

Amazingly enough, that was the correct action. I do have a question for
you:
Can you take that same jar and use it under JDK 1.3? If I did my job
right,
you should be able to.
In that case, please do donate the jar--Cocoon will be better for it.
