Personally, I'd let the compiled sitemap take the road of the T.Rex 
(i.e. extinction). Here I am suggesting that we apply Stefano's model of 
Software Darwinism: addition of "Expires" headers is a beneficial 
mutation and the strain that adopts it is probably the one that is going 
to survive.
