Just to add my voice to the chorus of approvable.... Yes...It would be nice if map:resources could be deprecated in favour of "callable" pipelines. IMHO this will reduce sitemap complexity while at the same time increasing flexibilitiy. Plus having the ability to call named pipelines seems almost to be an intuitive thing.
