I thought this as well, but figured I was missing
something.  

BTW, I have a patch here you sent to users for
handling filenames from windows to *nix (they were
being saved with complete path info).  At the time it
sounded like you were checking it into CVS but I don't
see it now.  If you don't still have it, I can send it
back to you or put it in through bugzilla.
