For sure it's something I would love for my employer, as we'd reuse the
template engine in our current web-application to start replacing our JSPs,
but without moving (yet) to Cocoon-prime, and it would be used in some of
our XML-based cron stuff (feeds/emails generation).

Can't people just do


cvs co cocoon-2.1/src/scratchpad/garbage

to get part of the tree?

otherwise, i'm +1 to cocoon-sandbox that is independent of a particular version..
