Someone proposed on forrest list to use different schemes to have both
possibilities,e .g.:
href=mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] - this will be obfuscated
href="'actual-mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]" - this one will be output as usual

Maybe this could be a solution.
