Vince,
I am running the same set up as you. I have other problems, but Cocoon is
probably running on your machine. You just need to point to your Apache port
(80) on most set ups. You will get the type="text/wml" or type="text/xml" if
you have your browser pointing to the Tomcat port.
Ex.
I have Apache set to listen on 8080 and Tomcat set to 8040. I was getting
the error when I pointed the browser to:
//localhost:8040/cocoon/Cocoon.xml
Changing to //localhost:8080/cocoon/Cocoon.xml fixed this.
You can check to see if Cocoon is running by examining your tomcat.log file.
You should see a line similar to this:
2001-07-18 08:25:52 - ContextManager: Adding context Ctx( /cocoon )
- if your Cocoon process started.

Subject: Problem with Cocoon
Dear support team,
after following the specified instructions as per the set up of
cocoon software along with tomcat (apache as server). It does not
work. When I make a request for xml file through IE or Netscape all I
could see is a blank screen that displays " type="text/wml" ". When
making a call through wap emulator an error occurred saying invalid
"Invalid WML Code". It seems the cocoon is not working.
Can you be of help, please. Do I need to do anything else to make the
cocoon work? I am using Window 2000. Jsp works fine with
tomcat/apache.
Thanks.
Vince.
