Thanks Martin for the tip but I can't upgrade yet to jdk1.4 for a production system :-(
The problem really comes for the new tomcat (Cocoon 2.0.1 with Tomcat 4.0.1 works perfect) So if anyone solved this problem using jdk1.3, please tell me :-) JP Martin Holz wrote: > Hi, > > Jean-Philippe Courson wrote: > >>I've just upgraded to Cocoon 2.0.1 and Tomcat 4.0.2 and when I start >>tomcat, I have the following exceptions. >> >>Any idea ? >> >>Any help would be appreciated >> >>----- Root Cause ----- >>java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: javax/xml/transform/URIResolver >> at java.lang.ClassLoader.defineClass0(Native Method) >> at java.lang.ClassLoader.defineClass(ClassLoader.java:493) >> at >>java.security.SecureClassLoader.defineClass(SecureClassLoader.java:111) >> at >>org.apache.catalina.loader.WebappClassLoader.findClassInternal(WebappClassL >>oader.java:1631) at >>org.apache.catalina.loader.WebappClassLoader.findClass(WebappClassLoader.ja >>va:926) at >>org.apache.catalina.loader.WebappClassLoader.loadClass(WebappClassLoader.ja >>va:1360) at java.lang.ClassLoader.loadClass(ClassLoader.java:292) >> at java.lang.ClassLoader.loadClass(ClassLoader.java:255) >> at >>org.apache.avalon.excalibur.component.ExcaliburComponentManager.configure(E >>xcaliburComponentManager.java:408) at >>org.apache.cocoon.Cocoon.configure(Cocoon.java:406) >> at org.apache.cocoon.Cocoon.initialize(Cocoon.java:267) >> at >>org.apache.cocoon.servlet.CocoonServlet.createCocoon(CocoonServlet.java:991 >>) at >>org.apache.cocoon.servlet.CocoonServlet.init(CocoonServlet.java:308) >> at >>org.apache.catalina.core.StandardWrapper.loadServlet(StandardWrapper.java:9 >>16) at >>org.apache.catalina.core.StandardWrapper.load(StandardWrapper.java:808) >> at >>org.apache.catalina.core.StandardContext.loadOnStartup(StandardContext.java >>:3266) at >>org.apache.catalina.core.StandardContext.start(StandardContext.java:3395) >> at >>org.apache.catalina.core.ContainerBase.addChild(ContainerBase.java:785) >> at >>org.apache.catalina.core.StandardHost.addChild(StandardHost.java:454) >> at >>org.apache.catalina.core.StandardHost.install(StandardHost.java:714) >> at >>org.apache.catalina.startup.HostConfig.deployApps(HostConfig.java:324) >> at >>org.apache.catalina.startup.HostConfig.start(HostConfig.java:389) >> at >>org.apache.catalina.startup.HostConfig.lifecycleEvent(HostConfig.java:232) >> at >>org.apache.catalina.util.LifecycleSupport.fireLifecycleEvent(LifecycleSuppo >>rt.java:155) at >>org.apache.catalina.core.ContainerBase.start(ContainerBase.java:1131) >> at >>org.apache.catalina.core.StandardHost.start(StandardHost.java:614) >> at >>org.apache.catalina.core.ContainerBase.start(ContainerBase.java:1123) >> at >>org.apache.catalina.core.StandardEngine.start(StandardEngine.java:343) >> at >>org.apache.catalina.core.StandardService.start(StandardService.java:388) >> at >>org.apache.catalina.core.StandardServer.start(StandardServer.java:506) >> at org.apache.catalina.startup.Catalina.start(Catalina.java:781) >> at org.apache.catalina.startup.Catalina.execute(Catalina.java:681) >> at org.apache.catalina.startup.Catalina.process(Catalina.java:179) >> at java.lang.reflect.Method.invoke(Native Method) >> at org.apache.catalina.startup.Bootstrap.main(Bootstrap.java:243) >> >> > > I hat the same problem, when upgrading from Tomcat 4.0.1 to 4.0.2.
