I downloaded Cocoon (binary) from the website. After unzipping the file, I deployed the .war file to my server (JRun), per the installation instructions. I then restarted JRun and tried to go to http://localhost/cocoon. There were two problems:
1. The first time I tried to go to this URL it took a long time as noted in FAQ's, so I assume it must have been doing something right. After a while I was presented a page titled "Internal Server Error" which said something about an exception. After reading a while, I shut everything down and started the server again. That's when problem #2 happened. 2. Now every time I hit the URL it still takes a long time and then tries to hit http://localhost/cocoon/welcome. This gives me an HTTP 404 - File not found error in my browser. I have deployed several .war files before and have been successful. Which part of the installation instructions that I followed would cause the errors above? Do you have any ideas on what will correct my problem? Thanks, B.
