Thanks for the timely response, Vadim. I was hoping for a more elegant solution, but oh well... from what I've seen so far Cocoon is an amazing piece of software so I won't complain ;) I did manage to find the "chello" (correctly spelled) project at: http://sourceforge.net/projects/chello/. It does what I want (provides a minimal Cocoon 2 app) but appears to be behind the current Cocoon 2 release.
