Hello World. A new Cocoon2-Application is online: http://www.lofex.de
We would like to ask you for public listing of this URL on 'xml.apache.org'. LOFEX is an acronym for 'LOcal Food EXpress'. It's an Cocoon 2.0RC1 based food shopping mall system and provides different views for e.g. customers and call center agents. Customers will place orders and -- surprise -- will get them delivered for a fee. Why we decided to use Cocoon2: When developing very complex web applications much expense will be spent for design, implementation and testing the frontend of the application. Cocoon2 made it possible to reduce effort for that significantly. - with strict separation of content, logic and style, maintenance of the frontend is a peace of cake. - since the same separation applies to the presentation layer, effective unit testing becomes possible - XML as 'format' enables us to perform automated tests, e.g. by using schematron. - high modularization increases reusability of components. - the label-view concept of the sitemap allows easy debugging of the presentation layer - the just in time generation of logic for sitemap and xsp as well as the autoreload mechanisms of Cocoon2 make design of dynamic content fast and reliable.
