We used Vignette V5.6 which has no builtin CMS solution (or it does cost extra). We took a quick look at a Vignette CMS demo, but were not so impressed. After our experiences with Vignette (and Vignette support escpecially) we decided to use Vignette only on core caching und cluster management. Every Vignette component costs a *lot* if money und support is - well - rather unsufficient. XML-Support in Vignette is not very well too. > > - The system is used by up to 200 editors who can edit content - > > without having to know anything about HTML or XML. > > Just FYI, it seems you content contributors can generate > links that are based > on syntactically invalid URLs. E.g., there is a link to > "http://surf.to\elbe" > on http://www.gruene-fraktion.de/rsvgn/rs_dok/0,,788,00.htm The user has the possibility to administrate his own external links. These links are not syntax checked (not yet), so this is possible if the user enters a wrong URL. All internal links are auto-validated.
