Hi, I'm glad somebody did something useful with them. The company I work for doesn't appear to want to follow it up (it's been about a year since I did them as proof that it was possible).
There are lots of java code out there which generates charts, I think this is what Ken is planning to integrate into Cocoon. I can see why. For example, dealing with overlapping text isn't (to the best of my knowledge) possible in SVG and some of the math's gets convoluted without resorting to using java functions :( Perhaps both java and xslt routes are viable and should be coded as examples... do you fancy a go Halácsy?
