Here, at the French Ministry of Culture, we have contributing to the development of an OpenSource project named SDX for "Système Documentaire en XML" = "XML Documentary System".
It is basically a Web searching tool for XML documents.
More precisely it is:
- a searching tool
- a web application based on a dynamic web server using a Java servlet engine
- an XML application: it supports only XML documents
- a documentary system with support of full text and field searching
SDX is a layer upon the conjuction of Cocoon framework and Lucene searching engine. It is able to manage many document repositories.
The documentation is at present only in french. But we planned to write also an english version with the release of version 2. If some voluntries will help us they are welcome.

We will be glad to be listed in the Cocoon-based Projects page and perharps to be more deeply associated with the Cocoon project.
