You cannot use XSL(T) in XSPs. Only in logicsheets and stylesheets. Example logicsheets are located in xml-cocoon2/src/java/org/apache/cocoon/components/language/markup/xsp/java (Source directory, in binary distribution check cocoon-*.jar) Chris.
