Raul,

I have had the same problem you are facing with the welcome.xml page. It
seems as though Resin does something weird with files that end in .xml

eg.
<map:match pattern="content/news.xml">
        <map:generate type="serverpages" src="xsp/news.xsp"/>
</map:match>

<map:match pattern="news.html">
        <map:generate src="cocoon:/news.xml">
        <map:transform src="style/news2html.xsl"/>
        <map:serialize type="html"/>
</map:match>

... produces an error on Resin stating that it cannot find
<fullpath>/xsp/news.xml (YES: .XML, not XSP!)

Haven't been able to figure it out though....
