Dear Martin, You were absolutely right. The DTDs were not being resolved locally. Once I updated the catalog adding the Docbook stuff, everything went back to normal.
Sometimes I still feel Cocoon is too big... there are some components I haven't used yet... and I've been using Cocoon for almost a couple years now...
