There is a jar: protocol (or Source?) in Cocoon already, search for 
"jar:" in http://xml.apache.org/cocoon/userdocs/concepts/sitemap.html 
for an example.
As JARs and ZIPs share the same physical format, it should work for ZIP 
files as well.
