Is this a good JVM to be running, or is there a stable 1.4.1 for this platform?

% java -version
java version "1.3.1"
jdkgcj 0.2.3 (http://www.arklinux.org/projects/jdkgcj)
gcj (GCC) 3.2 20020903 (Red Hat Linux 8.0 3.2-7)

Avoid it! Sun's JDK 1.4.1 is available for Linux directly from Sun. I am also experimenting with BEA's JRockit 8.0, as it promises to be blazingly fast ... but I'm having a few problems with it right now. Sun's JDK 1.4.1_02 is 100% OK for Tomcat (or Jetty) and Cocoon.
