But is there no function to do that? Because I saw on a sample (sampes/modules) that a concat function is used: <map:parameter name="session [truncated]" value="{request:concat('org. ... .', substring(session, 36))}" />
So maybe there is a split function also?
not all input modules let you use XPath expressions, and, AFAIK, the request parameter module is one of those :(
