I don't know if it's the known bug or not from your trace. Jan might
appreciate having the process around to debug if it's something else.
However, I had no problems when simply reinitializing the client
(except of course I lost any unintegrated changes; in my situation
that was usually not a problem, as the changes were coming from a CVS
update anyway).
