The rpc2ping works but if I indicate the correct port.

Is codasrv runing ????

- Wait until VCheckVLDB create the new VLDB and the empty file

/vice/vol/BigVolumeList

before trying to create your rootvolume coda:root

- Think perhaps to reboot after vice-setup....
- Reinstall everything...
Why do you set priority of all your email to high ????
