This makes no sense to me:
    [EMAIL PROTECTED] m1]$ cfs checkservers
    Contacting servers .....
    All servers up
[EMAIL PROTECTED] m1]$ cfs lv /coda/lambda.csail.mit.edu
      Status of volume 0x7f000000 (2130706432) named "coda:root"
      Volume type is Replicated
      Connection State is Disconnected
      Write-back is disabled
There are 32 CML entries pending for reintegration

[EMAIL PROTECTED] m1]$ cfs wr /coda/lambda.csail.mit.edu
[EMAIL PROTECTED] m1]$ cfs lv /coda/lambda.csail.mit.edu
      Status of volume 0x7f000000 (2130706432) named "coda:root"
      Volume type is Replicated
      Connection State is Disconnected
      Write-back is disabled
There are 32 CML entries pending for reintegration

In other words:
- The server is up.
- The client is up.
- The net connection is up.
- But "cfs lv" says the connection state is "Disconnected"
  Why?
- And "cfs wr" (1) seems to complete successfully (no error message, anyway),
but (2) the connection state afterwards is *still* "Disconnected."

I had things going, with a freshly setup venus cache of 100Mb. Then I copied a
dir with about 45Mb total of data in 12 files into a coda directory on the
client. From a second client, I saw three of the files show up, then, wham,
I'm in the borked mode.

Can anyone clue me in?
