I finally realized why venus wouldn't run on my standard FC2 installation - the coda module is no longer built by default as it was in FC1 (but there it was the old version).
So now when I built the FC2 included coda module both coda server and client seems to be running OK on Fedora Core 2. -- Best regards, Christer
