No, this is not supposed to happen. Possibly it is something else than Coda who eats them? Otherwise object on Coda may seem to "disappear" after client reinit, if the client who created them never reintegrated their creation. This is possible for instance if there was a conflict on the volume, which prevented reintegration. Then "cfs lv" is your friend.
The symptoms were a bit weird, I could see the .directories is I did an "ls -ls" but if I did "ls -l /coda/....../.thunderbird" then that particular directory would disapear.
I did re-start the client (venus) a bunch of times, but that did not fix the problem (usually does with every other problem), so I assume it was an issue with coda itself.
I have now re-started the server and the whole problem is gone. Thanks. -- Yves. http://www.SollerS.ca
