Hi

It looks like you still don't have a root volume.

Your volume should be listed in the /vice/vol/VRList file on the server,
and in the /vice/vol/VolumeList with a ".0" appended to the name.

What errors did you get upon creating the volume the first time around?
There shouldn't be any you see. BTW, [EMAIL PROTECTED] is the
best help place. You can browse other's questions too (see
www.coda.cs.cmu.edu).

Subject: Problems with Installation of Coda on Linux (RH5.2)

: Hi,
:
: I have problems with installing coda on a RH5.2-based Linux box. I
used
: the rpms.
:
: After sucessful creation of a root volume (didn't succeed first, but
got
: it with trial and error) I can't mount it.
:
: On the server I get:
: VLDB_Lookup: no more records in VLDB
:
: And on the client:
: GetRootVolume: can't get volinfo for root volume (coda-test)!
:
:
: Any hints what to do?
:

: Andi
:
: PS: Is there a mailing list or newsgroup for coda? I didn't find
anything
: except the university-internal groups that I can't access.
