Stability/performance issues

Hi there!

I'm looking into using CODA (as an alternative to AFS, for example) at this
rather busy site I'm working at. The site has high demands on availability and
performance, while at the same time preferring to use Open Source(TM) software,
so I figured CODA might be the way to go.

What's the concensus among CODA users as to its stability and performance
under heavy load on Linux 2.2.x/x86?

References, etc., would be greatly appreciated.
