my server for various reasons.
When I do an "ls -l" (on Redhat 6.2) on such a file on
the client, I see that it is a symbolic link to a weird internal
file name (a bunch of numbers). Looking at the file on
a different client shows the normal file.
Once that happens, I have not figured out how to get venus
to realize that the file is now available (i.e., the server is back
up).
I have let is sit for 12 hours without it fixing the file.
My method of recovery has been to exit venus and restart
it with the -init flag. This fixes it and the file is now normal
when I do an "ls -l" and I can read/write it as usual.
Of course, this is a bit extreme.
So, what is the correct method to get venus to fix up these files?
