Hello
I have encounter a problem of similar situation with
"Big Server" mail in codadev mail list.
After error in making mozilla.....
...
[chris@cluster1 /coda]# mkdir 12345
mkdir: cannot create directory `12345': No space left
on device
[chris@cluster1 /coda]# volutil setlogparms 0x1000002
reson 4 logsize 16384
V_BindToServer: binding to host cluster1
VolSetLogParms failed with Unknown RPC2 return code
103
[chris@cluster1 /coda]# ls -l
total 161
-rw-r--r-- 1 70 isoft 160256 Jun 6
02:36 du.result
drwxr-xr-x 46 70 isoft 4096 Jun 6
00:10 mozilla
[chris@cluster1 /coda]#
(There are totally about 4000 directories under
mozilla tree)
In SrvLog:
...
21:02:32 AllocViaWrapAround: 0x1cf3.3cde has only
single vnode on list
21:02:32 AllocViaWrapAround: Gave up at 32 iterations
21:02:32 SpoolVMLogRecord - no space left in volume
21:02:32 - returns ENOSPC
21:02:32 ViceMakeDir: Error 28 during SpoolVMLogRecord
for child
21:02:32 Entering VFlushVnode for vnode 0x1
21:02:32 Entering VFlushVnode for vnode 0xb85
21:05:54 RevokeWBPermit on conn 16fa3c3 returned 0
...
I also tried "volutil setlogparms ..." but ended with
RPC2 error, return code 103 or 200.
My coda configuration is:
cluster1:SCM, cluster3:non-SCM
Only root volume:coda.root is provided, /vice:300M
/vicepa:10G
created by: "createvol_rep coda.root E0000100 /vicepa"
after codasrvs on both cluster1 and cluster3 started
up
and /vice/db/servers and /vice/db/VSGDB modified.
RVM log:100M (by vice-setup-rvm), RVM data:1G (by
rdsinit after vice-setup-rvm,
rdsinit -f /dev/sda9 /dev/sda10 1073741824 0x50000000
0x1e000000 0x100000 80 32)
(originally it was RvmLog/RvmData:30M/315M before
enlarged trying to solve the no-space-left error)
venus are setup on cluster1, cluster2, cluster3 and
cluster4.
All those machines are on a private network of
100Mbps.
I wonder if there is anything not set well. Any
suggestion? Or it is some limitation problem?
Helps are greatly appreciated.
Chris
