I think so, it was for a long time ago and I remember the need to set up StarOffice for not using locking on "NFS". Well, it might be that the binaries were on a local file system at that time, I don't recall. I have got rid of StarOffice as it was too big and too slow, using Ted now as the means of interacting with the proprietary world :) Well, I shall test StarOffice installation on Coda, hopefully this weekend.
