With GNU make I proceeded a little further. It started to compile and then it failed in the kerndep directory. I have also tried to install fromtry gnu make?
/usr/ports/net/coda5-server and it fails in the same location (which is why I thought I would try source).
I'm not sure how to deal with this error.
