Good Afternoon,

The Program Committee for the 2017 Code4Lib Conference in Southern California
is now forming. This committee plans the structure of the program, solicits
prepared talks from the community, arranges the voting on presentations, and
shapes the final program to ensure balance and diversity of topics and
presenters. These folks will also manage the flow of the program at the
conference -- introducing speakers or soliciting other volunteers to MC as well
as telling bad jokes while presenters fiddle with laptops.

Code4Lib 2017 is a loosely-structured conference that provides people working
at the intersection of libraries/archives/museums/cultural heritage and
technology with a chance to share ideas, be inspired, and forge collaborations.
For more information about the Code4Lib community, please visit
http://code4lib.org/about/.

No prior experience or attendance at a Code4Lib conference is required. This is
an excellent opportunity to get involved and introduce yourself to the
community.

If you are interested in participating, please contact Whitni Watkins (
[email protected]<mailto:[email protected]> ) or Aaron Collier
([email protected]<mailto:[email protected]>). This committee will be
limited to 10 members, and is likely to fill up fast. Contact us by Friday,
September 9th so we can add your name under the Program Committee section of
the 2017 Conference Committees
Page<http://wiki.code4lib.org/2017_Conference_Committees> and follow up with
you soon.
