Joe,

I'd be interested in the code as well. https://github.com/haschart

There is some similar code as an add-on for the SolrMarc project. Its purpose is for including the summary holdings information in the Solr record under our Blacklight-based search interface. It makes an attempt to interpret and normalize the encoded data in the 866 fields as well as merely including the data from some of the other summary holdings fields.

Hi Andy,

We are still working on the license terms before opening the project, but
if you can give me your github account name I will send you a link.

Wariness is understandable -- this works on very dirty data.

Once you are added to the project you can look at our test cases in:
resources/test_holdings.xml>

resources/test_holdings.xml>

https://github.com/cdlib/hparser/blob/master/src/test/
resources/test_holdings.xml

to see samples of the type of statements that it parses.

We haven't had a lot of time to put into this project, so our hope is to
find collaborators who can help us move forward on improving it and adding
some capabilities. We are currently using it production to find the
earliest and last years held.

Joe
