Associate Librarian, Scholarly Communications

Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center (MSK) Library, New York City

As one of the world’s premier oncology centers, MSK is committed to exceptional
patient care, leading-edge research, and superb educational programs. The close
collaboration between our physicians and scientists is one of our unique
strengths, enabling us to provide patients with the best care available today
as we work to discover more effective strategies to prevent, control, and
ultimately cure cancer in the future. The MSK Library is a continuously
evolving facility and virtual library, supporting physicians, researchers,
nurses, health care professionals, students, and our patient community.

We are seeking an energetic, articulate, and well-organized individual to
assume the management and daily operations required to support Synapse
(https://synapse.mskcc.org), our database of MSK publications. This involves
providing leadership to a team of three librarians to add new and retrospective
content each month, work with database vendors and strive to enhance this
resource by building relationships across the institution to align the goals
for Synapse with those producing research.

In addition, this role is a team leader for complex scholarly communication and
technology-related projects and supports the library’s virtual presence.
