As part of the University Development Program and under the direction of the Associate Director of Prospect Management, the Prospect Management Analyst works to develop strategies and programs to support an effective pipeline of potential donors to the University of Arizona. The Prospect Management Analyst provides information and strategic support to key leadership at the University and within the Foundation, as well as to Development Officers (DOs) to inform development strategies and advance potential donor relationships. They use an understanding of fundraising metrics to provide the information that supports the management of prospects through the development cycle and help to implement processes to ensure that the best prospects are actively managed by DOs.
Analysts partner with DOs to effectively track and manage their fundraising activity in Raiser’s Edge through portfolio and proposal reviews and general guidance. They respond to all requests for assignment, review meetings, and other related activities in a positive and timely manner. Additionally, they liaise with prospect research team members to deliver and interpret capacity analysis and wealth profiles of key portfolio prospects and support DOs in their use of prospect research findings for informing development strategies. Analysts regularly report on information regarding fundraising progress/activity and interpret information to advise UDP leaders and DOs on fundraising performance. They also regularly monitor fundraising activity for continuity and compliance with the UDP’s Prospect Management Policy & Process Guidelines.
