The Montana Consortium for Research on Environmental Water Systems (CREWS)
project is seeking a Data Curation Librarian to provide technical leadership
and support for project data management and sharing, including development of,
and compliance with, CREWS project data policies. Funded by NSF EPSCoR, the
CREWS project aims to expand the state’s research capacity to understand local
threats to environmental water quality.

The Data Curation Librarian will be a non-tenure-track faculty member based in
the MSU Library, reporting to the Head of Special Collections and Archival
Informatics, with an 80% appointment in the NSF EPSCoR CREWS team and a 20%
appointment in the MSU Library. The position is expected to be funded for a
limited term, ending in September 2023. Funding is by cooperative agreement
that is subject to NSF approval for continuation on an annual basis.

Montana State University welcomes a broad array of experiences and perspectives
and is committed to continually supporting, promoting, and building an
inclusive and culturally rich campus environment. In support of our campus and
library strategic plans, which value diversity in all its dimensions, we
enthusiastically encourage members of traditionally underrepresented groups to
apply.
