LAC Group seeks an experienced Web Developer for a position with a prestigious government library located in Greenbelt, MD. The Web Developer will build and maintain the frontend/backend of the Library websites and keep them running smoothly. This includes designing, building, and implementing new Web pages and sites. Work will be performed on-site. This is an ongoing full time (40 hour a week; Monday-Friday) benefited contract position. RESPONSIBILITIES Create a new library, an archive and a repository website on Drupal 8 for the library Collaborate and help document/track progress with automated tools like JIRA and Bamboo Utilize diagnostic tools and problem-solving skills to solve technical related issues for the library staff Work towards extending repository functionalities for a new GKE collection Maintain library sites and applications and kept it updated Mentor and supervise web-developer intern QUALIFICATIONS Must have an MLS from an ALA accredited institution; BA/BS in an information or CS related field preferred Must have experience with Drupal 8 Position requires expertise with project management and web development experience Experience in Web frontend and backend development and information management Experience with automated tools such as JIRA and Bamboo Must have experience with Drupal 8 Excellent interpersonal, verbal, written, and organizational skills Must be able to work both independently and as part of a motivated and productive team Must have excellent attention to detail Ability to work with emerging technologies and learn new skills Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment ---- Brought to you by code4lib jobs: https://jobs.code4lib.org/jobs/35545-web-developer
