The University of California Riverside Library<https://library.ucr.edu/> is seeking applicants for two exciting new librarian positions: Digital Scholarship Librarian and Innovative Media Librarian. We hope you will consider joining us in sunny southern California! Both librarians will serve as functional specialists, working collaboratively to support the scholarly and research activities of UCR faculty, researchers, and students by developing specialized research and instructional partnerships. The successful candidates will be key voices in the development of library spaces to support digital scholarship and digital media initiatives. The Digital Scholarship Librarian<https://aprecruit.ucr.edu/JPF01156> (https://aprecruit.ucr.edu/JPF01156) will work closely with the incoming Digital Initiatives Specialist to build a sustainable support program for digital scholarship projects, particularly but not exclusively in the humanities. The Innovative Media Librarian<https://aprecruit.ucr.edu/JPF01157> (https://aprecruit.ucr.edu/JPF01157) will focus on maker and media partnerships, and will work closely with the Maker Services Coordinator to advance the Creat'R Lab makerspace<https://library.ucr.edu/research-services/creativity-and-discovery/creatr-lab>, which contains a variety of equipment ranging from low-tech tools to technologies for 3D printing and scanning, sewing, papercutting, electronics, virtual reality, and laser cutting and milling. The two librarians will join a team of functional specialists within the Research Services Department, currently consisting of the Director of Research Services, Data Librarian, Scholarly Communication Librarian, Geospatial Information Librarian, Maker Services Coordinator, and Research Services Assistant.
