The University of Oregon Libraries is now accepting applications for a Library
Applications Programmer 2, at the Knight Library in Eugene, Oregon.
Reporting to the Supervisor, Library Applications Programming in Library
Technology Services (LTS), the purpose of this position is to provide
high-level application development expertise to develop, modify, and maintain
programs and applications within a framework of established procedures and
specifications. The incumbent applies programming skills to write, debug, and
maintain code and administer applications, proactively adapting standard
programming procedures with minimal need for advice or direction.
When assigned as a project or product lead developer, the incumbent works
closely with the Supervisor, Library Applications Programming, to coordinate
work with team members, lead code reviews, maintain current awareness of
application updates and applicable security concerns (and implement as needed),
and ensure the creation and maintenance of application documentation. Salary
begins at $25.44/hour.
