Title: Wayne State University Libraries Tech Bunker: Connecting the Dots via 
Community, Technology, and Engagement

Abstract:

One of the many challenges information professionals face is the constant 
evolution of technology. It directly influences the behaviors and needs of our 
users, and provides an opportunity to explore new ways of engagement. In an 
immersive environment where almost everything is becoming more active and 
interactive, this presentation will provide a demonstration of one of the ways 
the Wayne State University Libraries is helping position individuals to be 
global learners in a fast-paced and technical society.

Damecia Donahue is a Librarian at Wayne State University who focuses on 
exploring new modes of service related to innovation, technology, creativity, 
individuality, and teaching and learning. This work is done through the Tech 
Bunker, an interdisciplinary lab developed in 2018 that functions as a hub for 
"technology reference".
