Gettysburg College is seeking a Senior Instructional Technologist within the 
Educational Technology Department of Information Technology. This position will 
work closely with faculty to train and assist them in the innovative uses of 
technology in pedagogy, course design, and assessment of learning for both 
in-person and hybrid/blended courses.

Job requirements include:


• Collaborating and consulting with faculty on the development and 
implementation of innovative digital pedagogical initiatives that enhance 
inclusive and ADA-compliant learning.
• Investigating, researching, experimenting with, demonstrating, and supporting 
new, emerging, and innovative technologies
• Learning management system administration, development, training, and 
consultation
• Supporting the appropriate integration of blended learning techniques and 
technologies into course design
• Developing and supporting training workshops for faculty
• Supporting the use of hybrid and distance learning initiatives at the College
• Collaborating with the Provost’s office, Musselman Library, the Johnson 
Center for Creative Teaching & Learning (JCCTL), the Educational Technology 
Committee and the Writing Center, working to coordinate our shared efforts to 
enhance tools for teaching, learning and digital scholarship; serving as a 
liaison to the JCCTL.
• Managing long-term projects with faculty as well as any collaborating 
offices, committees, or other groups
• Developing and maintaining a program to assess the initiatives spearheaded by 
the Educational Technology group as well as assisting faculty who need help in 
assessing and evaluating their own initiatives
• Teaching one course per year in their area of specialty where appropriate

The successful candidate will possess at a minimum a Master’s degree with a 
Ph.D. or equivalent terminal degree preferred. Demonstrated experience working 
with higher education faculty in pedagogy, course design and/or technology is 
desired. Experience with LMS administration, configuration and training is 
preferred as well as experience with the use of various web-based content 
creation tools (text, audio and video). Applicants are encouraged to write in
