This is a 12-months per year fixed-term position. Review of applications will begin immediately and will continue until a candidate has been selected for hire. Primary location of this position is the main WCU Cullowhee, NC campus.
The wide range of work experience gained through this position will enable the resident to build essential skills and plan career path options after the residency. The resident will enrich Hunter Library by bringing in new ideas and perspectives, contributing to projects and strategic initiatives, and support our commitment to building a diverse workforce and fostering diversity in the profession. The resident will complete one year primarily focused on reference and instruction and diversity, equity, and inclusion goals. By the end of the first, largely introductory year, the resident should be prepared to begin more extensive exposure to one of the Library departments, while continuing work with DEI.
