The Digital Asset Management (DAM) Lead will have the opportunity to lead and
coordinate across the River Campus Libraries in support of digital preservation
and scholarly assets management. The position offers the opportunity to help
steward the future of our digital content management platforms, including the
digital preservation platform, Preservica, and the next-generation
institutional repository. The person in this role will work closely with
multiple academic library departments, including Digital Initiatives, Rare
Books and Special Collections, Metadata Services, Research Initiatives,
Learning Initiatives, and Library Information Technologies, as well as faculty

institutional research platforms. The work will be a combination of
project-oriented and task-oriented, individual and team-based work, and
short-term and long-term planning. The DAM Lead will work with current
standards for preservation and scholarly repositories, gain additional working
knowledge of structured data and metadata standards, build upon core IT skills
such as scripting, data ingest, data governance, and data analysis relevant to
repository assets, and other platforms for content management. This role will
also supervise a full-time Digital Assets Technician.
